Why to choose 18 * 7 + FC for mine hoisting rope of port crane

The steel wire rope of port crane, small truck crane and mine shaft hoisting mostly uses 18 * 7 multi-layer non rotating steel wire rope. The structure of steel wire rope is walington style. Due to the opposite twisting direction of the inner and outer layers, the steel wire rope has the characteristics of micro non rotation by using the inner and outer rotating torque offset. Therefore, it can be said that 18 * 7 steel wire rope is especially suitable for single rope hoisting. The common point contact wire rope and line contact wire rope are single-layer twisted, so the lifting load often spins, which has a great impact on the construction operation.


18 * 7 type of non rotating wire rope can be divided into hemp core and steel core. We often mark them as 18 * 7 + FC hemp core and 18 * 7 + IWS steel core. In many cases, we call 18 * 7 + IWS 19 * 7 for short. As a steel core rope, 19 * 7 plays a very good supporting role in the production process of steel wire rope, and can effectively share part of the load in the load stage, and has the advantages of high temperature resistance and extrusion resistance. The 18 * 7 + FC hemp core rope further enhances the flexibility and bending performance of the steel wire rope, and the hemp core rope has strong oil storage capacity and good lubrication effect, which can slow down the wear and corrosion of the inner steel wire.
