It has better impact resistance and frequency resistance; the contact surface between 8-strand wire rope and drum and pulley is larger, which reduces the contact stress between surface wire and wheel groove and improves fatigue resistance.
8-strand steel wire rope is recommended for portal crane and container unloader;
With the continuous deepening and improvement of wire rope production technology, at present, we have higher requirements for 8-strand wire rope. In the production process of traditional line contact 8-strand wire rope, we adopt compaction, forging and other processes to increase the breaking force of wire rope and further improve the service life of wire rope, that is to say, surface contact wire rope.
The common models of surface contact wire rope used in port lifting or handling equipment are 8 * k36ws + IWR, 8 * k31ws + IWR and 8 * k26ws + IWR
For port lifting, we should not only choose the right wire rope, but also consider the requirements of drum and pulley for wire rope, and the ratio between them should be greater than 25 ~ 35.
