There are two ways of galvanizing: multi-wire continuous hot plating and electric plating.
Electric galvanizing (see steel wire electric galvanizing) is obtained by using an external power source and electrodeposition. The coating obtained is composed of fine pure zinc grains. Hot dip galvanizing (see steel wire hot dip galvanizing) is formed by physical thermal diffusion, first forming iron-zinc compound, then forming pure zinc layer on the surface of iron-zinc compound. Theoretically, any thickness of zinc can be obtained by galvanizing. At present, the practical amount of zinc on electric galvanizing can reach 1200g/m2. , the amount of zinc on the general electric galvanized layer can also reach 750g/m2. The highest value of zinc on hot dip galvanization is only 593g/m2. Hot dip galvanized steel wire will reduce the mechanical properties of steel wire, high strength and corrosion resistance of galvanized steel wire rope, the use of electric galvanized steel wire twist.
