On the premise of ensuring safety, the drilling crew shall be equipped with wire ropes of different diameters and lengths as special drilling ropes according to the use range of ropes, the gravity of objects and the distance of activities.
The steel wire rope of the drilling hoisting system is the steel wire rope that is widely used and consumed at the drilling site. The drilling site is generally called the big rope. The diameter is generally 28-35 mm, and the specification is 6 strands of 19 wires (i.e. 6x19). Generally, drilling rigs with drilling depth below 3200 m are equipped with 28.6 mm diameter ropes, 4500 m drilling rigs are equipped with 31.8 mm or 34.9 mm diameter ropes, and 6000 m drilling rigs are equipped with 34.9 mm diameter ropes, and 8000 m drilling rigs are equipped with 39.8 mm diameter ropes.
